Shree Swaminarayan Temple Kalupur, the world's first Swaminarayan Mandir, built under the instruction of Shree Swaminarayan Bhagwan himself, joined forces with professional TV producers to carefully lay the plans for the serial depicting the life of Shree Swaminarayan Bhagwan. This concept of illustrating His teachings to 21st century society via the technology of today was devised by Acharya Designate His Holiness Lalji Maharajshri Koshlendraprasadji Maharaj. However this was no easy task, as it was important to make it religiously accurate as well as recapturing the environment and the way of life more than 200 years ago simultaneously. This is where the learned saints from Ahmedavad provided their religious intellect to the TV producers to help devise dialogue and screenplay scripts.

In addition to this, careful thought went into the selection of actors and actresses to play the roles of Satsangis, Sadhus, Sankhya Yogis etc as well as the main role of Swaminarayan Bhagwan. It is important to bear in mind that these were indeed real people who had real interaction with Shree Swaminarayan Bhagwan and not fictional characters, so getting everything right, all the way down to scenery and settings, was imperative.
